In this video, let's understand why your computer shows grub rescue after deleting ubuntu partition and learn how to fix it! -COMMANDS Use these to fix GNU GRUB Error screen and get back into windows: insmod part_gpt [press enter] insmod chain [press enter] ls [press enter] //here, go into each partition and look for a "/boot" folder //for instance, (hd0,gpt1)/efi/microsoft/boot/bootmgfw.efi chainloader (hd0,gpt1)/efi/microsoft/boot/bootmgfw.efi [press enter] boot [press enter] You should now be able to see the Windows loading screen. Once into windows, or even without successful boot, open the command prompt (Admin) through the OS or the Recovery Menu. Type the below commands to change the default boot manager: bcdedit [press enter] //check the pathname under windows 10 boot manager. It will usually be set to grubx64.efi. //We need to replace that with the windows boot manager bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \efi\microsoft\boot\bootmgfw.efi [press enter] Now, to delete GRUB Partition, try these steps: Go to CMD (Run as Administrator) Type - Diskpart - List Disk - Select Disk 0 (where your dual-boot OS was installed) - List partition (Select Partition that has "system" type) - Select Partition 2 - assign letter=z (You'll now see it as a logical drive Z in file manager) - exit (this will exit diskpart) - z: Z:\ - dir (It will list all the directories available) - cd efi (Will enter efi folder) - dir (Will list directories under efi folder) (We now have to delete the Linux grub) - rd (name_of_your_linux_grub) /s - Are you sure? (Y/N): Y (This will remove that directory) - exit Just restart your PC. You're good to go! Voici un tutorial pour la réparation de Grub, effectué sur un dualboot Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic et Windows 10. Souvent grub disparaît au profit de Windows boot manager lors d'une mise à jour, ou suite à de mauvaises manipulations. Je vous expose ici trois cas différents. Premier cas avec un PC récent bénéficiant d'un BIOS UEFI, ces BIOS permettent en cas d'absence de gestionnaire d'amorçage de choisir sur quelle partition booter. Généralement il faut appuyer sur F9 pour voir apparaître ce menu qui peut s'appeler "Boot device" ou "Boot menu" Arrivé sous Ubuntu repéré votre partition principale souvent sda avec : sudo blkid puis : sudo grub-install /dev/sda sudo update-grub et rebooter la machine. Second et troisième cas avec l'utilitaire Boot-repair. Dans tous les cas il faut booter sur votre clé/cd/dvd d'installation d'Ubuntu. Une fois celui-ci démarré, ouvrir un terminal et taper : sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair sudo apt update sudo apt install boot-repair Lancer boot-repair depuis le menu d'Ubuntu ou par commande puis suivre les instructions comme dans la vidéo.

This video is helps you resolve GRUB issues. Grub issues that normally occur is the "Unknown Filesystem Error". This usually if the OS(Kali) disk space is full or almost full, or the swap space error, or others. How to resolve it: 1. List all the partitions on the disk: "ls" 2. Find the partition that contains the Grub loader: This is done by using the "ls" command + the name of the partition; eg " ls (hd0,msdos5)" 3. After going through all the partitions to find the right partition, follow the rest of these commands: - set boot=(hd0,msdos5) -set prefix=(hd0,msdos5)/boot/grub -insmod normal -normal Thank You! This is a common issue that many users face, but fortunately, there's an easy solution using EasyUEFI software. So, let's get started! Step 1: Download and Install EasyUEFI The first step is to download and install EasyUEFI software on your Windows computer. You can download it from the official website at easyuefi.com. Step 2: Launch EasyUEFI and Select "Add New Entry" Once you've installed EasyUEFI, launch the software and select "Add New Entry" from the left panel. Step 3: Configure Grub Bootloader Entry In the next window, select the Linux/BSD tab and then select "Grub" from the dropdown menu.
