SpaceX's workhorse Falcon 9 rocket just successfully launched its 200th consecutive mission. It has set itself up to double its insane record for the number of consecutive successes by an orbital rocket. This completely smashed the entire space industry. All this and more in today's episode of Great SpaceX: Well, this is the result of seven years of non-stop efforts of the SpaceX Falcon team! Remember 2016, amidst the sweltering heat of a Florida morning, a dedicated team of SpaceX engineers commenced the fueling of a Falcon 9 rocket in preparation for a critical pre-launch firing test. This particular year had posed its fair share of challenges and triumphs for the California rocket company, finally beginning to fulfill its long-standing promise of increased launch frequency. Over the course of arduous months, a diligent assembly of engineers and technicians at SpaceX's Cape Canaveral facilities had persevered, tirelessly perfecting the intricate "load-and-go" fueling process required for the Falcon 9 rocket. To optimize the rocket's payload capacity, the team employed super-chilled liquid oxygen, employing every available space within the vehicle. However, once the rocket was fueled, time became a crucial factor, as the Florida heat would rapidly warm the liquid oxygen. That summer, the engineering team relentlessly pursued their goal of minimizing the propellant loading time, striving to launch with the coldest oxygen possible and extract the utmost performance from the vehicle. On that morning, in a bid to expedite the pre-launch preparations by a single day, SpaceX had already affixed an Israeli satellite atop the Falcon 9 rocket in anticipation of the static fire test. SpaceX just smashed the entire industry with Falcon 9 insane record! No one done it before... Has SpaceX fallen into a similarly flawed design that plagued the N1? Why did they choose so many engines? Will it continue to suffer a similar fate over and over like the N1 or is there something inherently different? Today we’ll answer those questions and compare the two most powerful rockets ever made, from different sides of the world and from completely different eras to figure out how they’re similar and perhaps more importantly, how they’re different. Starship gave us quite a show during the first flight test of a fully integrated Starship (S24) and Super Heavy rocket (B7) from Starbase in Texas. On April 20, 2023 at 8:33 a.m. CT, Starship successfully lifted off from the orbital launch pad for the first time. The vehicle cleared the pad and beach as Starship climbed to an apogee of ~39 km over the Gulf of Mexico – the highest of any Starship to-date. With a test like this, success comes from what we learn, and we learned a tremendous amount about the vehicle and ground systems today that will help us improve on future flights of Starship.

NASA astronauts has started training for NEW-GEN spaceplane... 1) 🎵 ABOUT ALL TRACK IN MY VIDEO 🎵 Artist: Infraction - No Copyright Music 🤍 The Doctor 🤍 = Astronauts Have Begun Training For Dream Chaser's Maiden Flight Sierra Space, remember them? Their Dream Chaser space-plane is now soaring closer to its highly anticipated first launch. Looking like a stubby version of the Space Shuttle, Dream Chaser lost out to SpaceX and Boeing for NASA’s commercial crew program but won a spot in the second round of commercial cargo missions to deliver supplies to the International Space Station. Notably, two members of the next ISS crew are currently undergoing rigorous training to master the intricate operations of the Dream Chaser spacecraft. These astronauts are determined to become well-versed in its cutting-edge technology, ensuring they are fully prepared when this remarkable spaceplane arrives at their cosmic doorstep this year. All this and more in today's episode of Great SpaceX: Despite potential delays to United Launch Alliance’s (ULA) Vulcan Centaur launch schedule, Sierra Space says preparations continue for lofting the Dream Chaser spaceplane on its debut space mission by year’s end. The first Dream Chaser, DC-101 Tenacity, is set to launch on the second flight of the Vulcan Centaur. Originally scheduled for the third quarter of this year, the window for this mission is currently set for December, Sierra Space CEO Tom Vice says. ULA has been working toward a launch pad static fire test of the Vulcan Centaur rocket throughout May. Sadly, in the latest engine test, the team observed a delayed response from the booster engine ignition system that needs further review prior to proceeding with the flight readiness firing. “I think ULA will get through that quickly. They’ll isolate what happened and get that turned around,” Sierra Space CEO Tom Vice said, who also concedes that “there will be some delay associated with that, but they’ll figure it out.” Sierra is currently targeting a December launch window. But “if they need more time, we will be ready whenever we’re ready,” he adds. Just happened! NASA astronauts has started training for NEW-GEN spaceplane... Starship gave us quite a show during today’s first flight test of a fully integrated Starship and Super Heavy rocket from Starbase in Texas. At 8:33 a.m. CT, Starship successfully lifted off from the orbital launch pad for the first time. The vehicle cleared the pad and beach as Starship climbed to an apogee of ~39 km over the Gulf of Mexico – the highest of any Starship to-date. The vehicle experienced multiple engines out during the flight test, lost altitude, and began to tumble. The flight termination system was commanded on both the booster and ship. As is standard procedure, the pad and surrounding area was cleared well in advance of the test, and we expect the road and beach near the pad to remain closed until tomorrow. With a test like this, success comes from what we learn, and we learned a tremendous amount about the vehicle and ground systems today that will help us improve on future flights of Starship. Thank you to our customers, Cameron County, and the wider community for the continued support and encouragement. And congratulations to the entire SpaceX team on an exciting first flight test of Starship!

Last week, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk set a deadline for launchpad upgrades. “Major launchpad upgrades should be complete in about a month", Musk shared via Twitter. Yeah, it is just a Month! So, this is the time for the SpaceX team to ramp up. These days, we observe the significant progress of the ongoing groundwork. Numerous holes have been drilled into the ground, each containing a rebar cage that is subsequently filled with concrete. These holes are positioned at the center of the table. The ground drill is visible in operation, positioned on cribbing over the softer ground. After drilling, the holes rapidly fill with water, owing to the shallow water table in Boca Chica. Besides, more sheet pilings have been installed around the OLM perimeter. These will form a retaining wall that can then be excavated to work on the pipe for the water and install the steel water-cooled plates like this. Thanks to ChromeKiwi for this wonderful job! SpaceX Starship will try to make history in merely two months from now. Yeah, this timeline has just been affirmed by its CEO Elon Musk: "Major launchpad upgrades should be complete in about a month, then another month of rocket testing on pad, then flight 2 of Starship", Musk shared the details in response to a fresh video shared by SpaceX moments back with new and exclusive footage from Starship's test flight late last month. Well, this is really a video we've been waiting for all month. Another step closer to Mars, indeed! Especially since it also confirmed that Ship 25 will partner with Booster 9 on the next test flight. Back to Musk's announcement, the company is targeting to finish upgrading the Starship launch pad in June. After the first launch, the extent of the damage and the chunks of concrete blasted off from the pad created speculation that perhaps SpaceX would take a considerable amount of time to rebuild it. However, Mr. Musk was quick to state that the next launch attempt would take place in just a couple of months. He seems to be standing by his words, as the current timeline for the Starship test 2 will see SpaceX build the launch pad in a month and then test its rockets on the pad for a similar time period before attempting to reach orbit. Elon Musk JUST ANNOUNCED SpaceX's New Raptor Engines That Will Change Everything! Raptor engines have revolutionized the space industry with their unprecedented power and efficiency. Developed by SpaceX, these engines are unlike any other rocket engine on the market, and they represent a significant breakthrough in propulsion technology. So, what exactly makes the Raptor engine so special? For starters, it's the first full-flow staged combustion engine to be used in a spacecraft. This means that the engine utilizes every bit of fuel and oxidizer in the combustion process, resulting in a more efficient and powerful thrust. Additionally, the Raptor engine is fueled by liquid methane and liquid oxygen, which is a more environmentally friendly option compared to other rocket fuels. The construction of the Raptor engine is also unique. It's made up of 3D-printed parts, which allows for greater precision and customization during the manufacturing process. This not only reduces costs but also results in a more durable and reliable engine. But how exactly do these engines work? Let's break it down. The Raptor engine operates by using a series of pumps to push liquid methane and liquid oxygen into the engine's combustion chamber. Once the fuel and oxidizer are combined, they undergo a process called "full-flow staged combustion," which means that every bit of fuel and oxidizer is utilized in the combustion process. As the fuel and oxidizer mix and ignite, they produce an incredibly hot gas that expands and escapes through the engine's nozzle. This reaction creates a powerful thrust that propels the spacecraft forward. The Raptor engine is designed to be highly efficient, which means that it can produce more thrust with less fuel than other rocket engines. One of the key benefits of the Raptor engine is its ability to be used multiple times. Unlike other rocket engines that are typically used only once and then discarded, the Raptor engine can be reused many times. This not only reduces costs but also makes space travel more sustainable and eco-friendly. Another benefit of the Raptor engine is its ability to generate a large amount of power. With a thrust of over 200 tons, the Raptor engine is currently the most powerful rocket engine on the market. This power enables spacecraft to travel further and faster than ever before! #elon #musk #spacex #spacexstarship

Following a period dedicated to the meticulous upgrade of the launchpad, Starbase has now burst into a flurry of activity, showcasing an impressive surge in productivity and operations at the production site. There are at least 5 prototypes almost ready now. The team is definitely making commendable strides in the assembly process. Firstly, significant progress can be observed inside the High Bay as Ship 29 undergoes stacking, with only one section remaining until its full completion. In addition, Ship 28, located in the same vicinity, has achieved full stacking. Notably, a new lifting rig was being utilized, designed to raise the ships using the lifting points initially intended for the launch tower's "chopstick" arms. This innovative approach, pioneered by SpaceX, demonstrates the company's continuous efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Starship assembly in the future. What SpaceX Dragon just did that makes No one wants to fly on Starliner... HUGE THANKS TO: iamVisual: 🤍 TheSpaceEngineer : 🤍 = What SpaceX Dragon just did! No one wants to fly on Starliner anymore... "As Boeing Struggles To Fix Its Starliner, Elon Musk Is Eating Its Lunch In Space." Yeah, this statement can be regarded as a humorous anecdote sourced from somewhere as Elon Musk hasn't gone to space so far, maybe he doesn't like it. However, metaphorically thinking, this also holds undeniable truth. While SpaceX Dragon launched up to 10 crews into space, the Starliner Crewed Flight's last test is scheduled to fly no earlier than July 2023. Especially, what SpaceX Dragon just did definitely make no one wants to fly on Starliner anymore... How and why? Find out every about this in today's episode of Alpha Tech: A SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule carrying a retired astronaut, a wealthy adventurer, and two Saudi astronauts caught up with the International Space Station on Monday, wrapping up an automated 15-hour rendezvous with a picture-perfect docking, also a record-setting trip to the orbiting laboratory. Catching up from behind and below, the spacecraft passed 1,300 feet below the lab complex, then looped up to a point directly above the forward Harmony module's space-facing port. From there, the craft moved in for docking at 9:12 a.m. EDT. "It was a lovely ride ... it was the softest docking I've ever felt," Ax-2 commander Peggy Whitson radioed SpaceX flight controllers, referring to three earlier trips to the station aboard a space shuttle and Russian Soyuz ferry ships. "Very well done." What SpaceX Dragon just did that makes No one wants to fly on Starliner...
